Kathy began practicing yoga in her 20’s while she was recovering from an injury that caused chronic back and neck pain. Within a short time of practicing yoga Kathy became pain free and benefitted from the lasting affects yoga had on her body. While practicing yoga consistently Kathy began to experience the community that evolves within yoga classes and loves sharing this common interest with so many. Kathy has studied with many different teachers over the years who have shared their knowledge and passion for yoga.
Kathy received her 200 hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training Certification from Yoga Culture in Danbury, Ct. in 2015. She studied under the direction of Jenny Schuck and Wendy Hagen. In addition to advanced Asana training the Vinyasa based yoga studio offered a depth of anatomy and philosophical education that Kathy looks forward to sharing with others.
Kathy has spent most of her adult life juggling family, career and volunteering. In addition to yoga Kathy loves cooking, traveling, volunteering and spending time with family and friends. Yoga helps Kathy keep the balance in her very active life with children, husband and several pets.
