Julie is thrilled and honored to be teaching at Yoga Culture. The joy of movement has always been a part of Julie’s life. As a competitive gymnast throughout high school and college she learned the value of discipline, strength, flexibility, practice, expression through physicality… and 30+ year later she still loves being upside-down. Yoga felt like the perfect fit from her first Sun Salutation and she’s been practicing for over 20 years. 2 out of 4 of Julie’s sisters teach Yoga so there must be something in their DNA!
Yoga provides much needed balance and de-stressing from her career in medical sales. Every Yoga practice whether at home or at the studio feels like a gift. Julie enrolled in Yoga Culture’s Teacher Training because nothing feels better than sharing something you love! As an Exercise Physiology major, she so appreciates Yoga Culture’s standards for teaching alignment and the beautiful kinesiology of Yoga. She completed her 200-hour certification in August 2018. Julie believes that no matter how many trips you make around the sun, Yoga will make you feel more youthful, supple and peaceful. She hopes to inspire students to make friends with their bodies and to enjoy the many gifts Yoga has to offer as much as she does.
When she’s not working or practicing Yoga, Julie enjoys working out, writing, all kinds of music and spending times with her family, friends and felines.
