Caitlin Lewis

Caitlin has practiced various styles of yoga throughout her life but it wasn’t until 2010 that she caught the “yoga bug” and began practicing consistently. Working as a clinical social worker with children and teens, she enjoys the ability to decompress and refocus through her yoga practice. Caitlin received her 200 hour teacher training from Jenny Schuck and Wendy Hagen at Yoga Culture in Danbury, CT, a studio that specializes in Vinyasa yoga with Iyengar style alignment. In an effort to share the benefits of yoga with her students and coworkers at a therapeutic day school, Caitlin participated in Street Yoga’s Core training which focuses on adapting yoga and mindfulness techniques for youth and families struggling with poverty, abuse, addiction, trauma and psychiatric issues. Although she loves both a strenuous physical practice and time to sit and "be", her classes are accessible to yogis of all potential shapes, ages, and interests. When Caitlin is not practicing yoga, she enjoys cooking, gardening and spending time with her husband and dogs, Lady and Bailey.
