In Level 1, we begin to explore the Sun Salutations. Much time is spent learning the fundamentals and proper alignment of Downward Facing Dog, Plank and Chaturanga. We keep the pace slow so we can spend time properly aligning the standing poses.
Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations) are explored more deeply, adding in Upward Facing Dog. We step up the pace and difficulty from Level 1, adding in more standing poses and exploring the building blocks that lead to more intricate poses. Backbends go deeper. Hips and shoulders are asked to do more.
A vigorous class for yogis who want to go deeper in their practice. Surya Namaskar B creates a more demanding flow sequence. Inversions, arm balances and intricate poses including deep backbends are explored.
In Restorative class, you relax and renew. Yoga postures are fully supported by props - blocks, blankets, bolsters and straps - so that the body can release. This form of yoga is aimed at the nervous system. It leads us away from the 'flight or flight' response and allows the mind-body to 'rest and digest'. All props are provided - bring yourself, your breath and a mat (or rent one for $1).
Learn tools to enhance and ease the process of pregnancy. Strengthen and tone the whole body, targeting areas specific to pregnancy such as the pelvic floor, abdominal muscles and lower back. Practice breathing techniques (pranayama) to increase awareness of the breath and to reduce stress in the body and mind.
Please understand that we have limited space in our studio and we want to serve as many students as we feel we have space for. We have limits on class size and we would rather not turn someone away if there is still space in the studio. If you reserve a space, we will hold it for you, but please understand that if you do not come to class, that is a space that could have gone to another student.
As long as you follow this policy, you will never be charged or lose a class. We hope this will serve those of you who may have been turned away due to class size limits.
If you cancel yourself from class through our website or MindBody Connect app at least 6 hours prior to class start time, you will not be charged. Cancellations will not be taken over the phone or by email.
If you cancel within the 6-hour pre-class window: If you are on Monthly Unlimited SuperPass, New Student Pass or any other unlimited pass, your saved credit card will be charged $8 if you cancel yourself from class through our website or MindBody Connect app. Cancellations will not be taken over the phone or by email. Rescheduled classes are still considered late cancel. If you are on a 10-Class Pass, 5-Class Pass or using a Drop-in Class, you will lose one class from your pass.
If you do not cancel and do not show for class: If you are on Monthly Unlimited SuperPass, New Student Pass or any other unlimited pass, your saved credit card will be charged $15. If you are on a 10-Class Pass, 5-Class Pass or using a Drop-in Class, you will lose one class from your pass.
With 24 hours notice, the amount of the workshop will be credited to the your Yoga Culture account. If less than 24 hours notice is given, you forfeit the cost of the workshop.
