The youth of today face many challenges. With the demands of school, extra-curricular activities, obligations with family and friends, and the addition of technology, kids need to learn more now than ever how to slow down, pause, and take a breath. A movement and mindfulness practice can provide children with the tools necessary to navigate through life's challenges with greater ease.
This workshop is wonderful for educators, clinicians, parents, and yoga teachers interested in teaching children. Learn what mindfulness is, its origins, the mindful brain, breathing techniques, yoga postures that can be practiced standing or in chairs. Participants will also learn self-care practices that can help cultivate greater resiliency.
No yoga experience is required for this workshop. Wear comfortable clothing for a gentle movement practice. A manual will be provided.

Notes from our Book Leader:
I'm using the 2010 issue and it's 226 pages.
Todd will be hosting book club in the animal cracker lounge.
Each month we will take a look at a new book, whether it be a body of fiction or a personal memoir, and discuss how it relates to our journey with yoga. You will be amazed to learn how practicing yoga has impacted more than your physique.
Let’s have some fun and share our thoughts on interesting literary works and see where it takes us!
Practice the art of Savasana. Join Allison for Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, to experience full-body relaxation and a deep meditative state of consciousness. Bring your chronically exhausted and overstimulated self. Highly recommended for everyone under the sun, this is a deep relaxation technique that leads you to experience the relief of stress, restful sleep and a greater sense of harmony and balance throughout your daily life. When practiced on a regular basis, Yoga Nidra can also help to balance emotions, resolve trauma and solve interpersonal problems through self-inquiry and deep reflection.
In this practice, your are not sleeping but rather in a natural state of meditation, completely aware of the sensations in your body and mind while deeply relaxing. We will explore a receptive state of relaxation through setting an intention, becoming aware of the sensations lingering in the body, feeling the breath and the energetic body around us and coming to a place of detachment, a time for self-reflection and deep relaxation.
For all Levels
Semi-Private Lessons are limited to 6 students. With this low student:teacher ratio, you are able to receive more individual attention to work on your specific needs, and at a much lower cost than a private lesson.
